Enjoy an evening under the stars adjacent the National Trust Mangowine Homestead followed by the Harvest Festival markets in town on Sunday.
Friday 1st October
A curry night at the Nungarin Recreation Centre. Starting at 6:30pm. $10 per head. This is a funraiser for the Nungarin Panthers Football Club. The bar will be open - Have a drink and meal while catching up with friends.
Saturday 2nd October
Celebrations continues with a light lucheon at the Recreation Centre. People will have a chance to meet and chat with Maxine Cornish before her book launch of "A Piece of String" - Stories of the Nungarin District. Event starts at 11:30am. The Tracmach and 10th Lighthorse will be holding demonstrations at the Museum on Saturday and Sunday. The Museum will be open all weekend.
Mangowine Concert - a night of entertainment. Gates open at 4pm. Local Country and Western band Olga and Tom Kittyea will play until 6pm. The main event commences at 6:30pm. The Ultimate Tribute Show to The Beatles, Cliff Richards and The Rolling Stones. MC for the evening is Grant Woodhams MLA. Adults - $10, High School Students - $5, Family - $25 and VIP seating and gourmet hamper - $100 per double. Fully licensed bar - NO BYO. Take away meals available, catered by the Mukinbudin Ladies. Harvest Festival continues with the Blessing of the Harvester at 10am in the main street along with the Nungarin markets.
